The international musical project ‘A New Thing’ returns with the sophomore release “Make My Life A Prayer” right on the heels of their debut single, “Psalm 23: Detroit to NYC.”
This gospel-infused house stomper, (also created using the musicians has a funky bounce that becomes infectious with each listen and takes you higher after the piano solo by Gerald Mitchell (Los Hermanos/Underground Resistance).
The lead vocal is again provided by native New Yorker, Carllie Jaxen (NYC), backed by the choir which includes Eric King, Teyonee Reed, Jeanne Harris Parks, Keir Coleman Ward, Lee McPherson, and Toni Washington.
Produced by Hayley Thompson, and co-produced with Detroit house music legend and mainstay, Pirahnahead, founder of Whasdat Music.
France-based phenomenon Slikk Tim Becherand on bass, along with Pirahnahead and Dave Henderson. Thompson provided additional instrumentals.
